Thinking about picking up this set of Grado HP-2's

The only person who is willing to work on the HP1000 is Joe Grado. The wing nut may or may not be replaced depending on if Joe still has spare parts. It seems that the sleeve is cut but the wiring is intact. He will most likely swap it with a RS-1 cable if you desire. Not the best condition pair I've seen and it is definitely not cheap to make Joe work.

The going rate for HP1000 in good condition is $1200-$1400. This includes rubbed off letters and missing box. However, the headphones are unmodified and in good condition. New old stocks have fetched $1500-$2000. This includes box and all the letterings. SR-100 and SR-200 with HP1 drivers have gone for $700-$900.
