Help me out here... My friend just turned 18 and I want to give her a list of things she can legally do now that she turned 18. I know that there are websites that have lists of these things but for some reason Google doesn't want to cooperate tonight!

If anyone can help out, that would be much appreciated

Yes it does depend on the state, but there are many general things you can do. I'm sure she knows a bunch of them, but there are obscure things that you can do after turning 18. I just thought it would be funny to give a list to her along with her card.

hmm, i believe the big one is that you can legally have sexual intercourse with people over the age 18 now without it being considered Statutory Rape, because legally no intercourse before 18 can be considered Consensual if it's with an adult. the same goes for performing in the adult entertainment industry, 18 is the magic number.

amazingly, most states still have the legal age to drink as 21 - shouldn't the two ages be flipped for these? nevermind!

nah, they should just make drinking age like 15

oh, at 18 you can also vote and you are allowed to serve in the military.

but you still can't drink.

Now I'm not sure if it's a real law, but a lot of stores won't sell lighters to minors.
