Curious how easy the Monarchs are to power? Has anyone paired with the Sony zx507?
The DD inside scales with power, it also depend how you wanna the subbass to hit you!Curious how easy the Monarchs are to power? Has anyone paired with the Sony zx507?
I hear you. My Starlights need an amp when used on the 507 through 4.4 balanced. Just can't get the full out of them. Wondering if it is the same with the Monarchs considering similar driver config. The DD inside scales with power, it also depend how you wanna the subbass to hit you!
507+ Oriolus B300S ( tube amp ) with Hiby 20 Ohms adapter combo might me your solution, just not sure how Starlight will take it.I hear you. Yes the rainbow cable, suits great with Monarch SignatureNice cable too, are those from XINHS?
So I went back to using the Xelastec ear tips for the Monarch because they are the most comfortable and provide the best isolation for me. And now with the following EQ in Qudelix I feel the bass slams well enough or possibly even better than with what I was getting out of the Final E tips anyway.

Mest Mk2 needs M8 to shine without be harshMonarch is a noticeable step up in technicalities from the Excalibur but I'm still debating whether I prefer the more aggressive tuning of the Excalibur or the smoother tuning of the Monarch! Also the Monarch is significantly larger than the Excalibur, and is much less comfortable so yet another trade-off to consider.
If you love the Excalibur I think the MEST MkII is a similar tuning/tonality (with a more aggressive upper treble shelf) taken to a whole new level of performance. The upper treble is too hot for me so I'll probably be selling my MEST MkII soon
Monarch out of the box sound fantastic, I'm breaking them in on my head. I received M11 plus 2 days ago as well, the pairing is quite nice.
I'm wondering is there eny way to be sure which of the twins I got? I'm having doubts because my Monarch sounds just like how Clairvoyance should sound looking at the graphs alone. I mean mid bass on my Monarch is not lacking at all especially with M11 plus in high gain mode.

In sound you should notice the difference clearly too, if you had a Clair to test with.
Wat about subbass extension? Does it sound different to you?Monarch out of the box sound fantastic, I'm breaking them in on my head. I received M11 plus 2 days ago as well, the pairing is quite nice.

I replied a while back on this issue. You can tell by the nozzle shape apparently.Monarch out of the box sound fantastic, I'm breaking them in on my head. I received M11 plus 2 days ago as well, the pairing is quite nice.
