ThieAudio Legacy Series IEMs

Could you happen to explain this to me please? >< I'm still rather new.

I did notice the anomaly in the bass and mids too, but this was the first time I got such an anomaly in all the graphs I attempted.
Also, out of curiosity, what was the sound source and its output impedance. This is probably not what’s contributing, but I’m just curious.

I used a mic splitter into my desktop. Could it possibly an issue of tip choice and insertion depth?
Tip choice, perhaps, but probably not that pronounced of a boost in bass. I think insertion depth would just alter the resonant frequency in the treble. I’m certainly not an expert though, so we’ll see what others say.

I ordered my Legacy 5 without noticing that the balanced cable was an upgrade with the silver cable option. Could someone recommend a 2.5mm cable for the Legacy 5 (using earstudio es100) ?

The Legacy 4 is due to be released soon!

FR graph looks mighty appealing IMHO, with nice treble extension.

Looking at the graphs, I'd prob want to try the Clair and L5 first. They're all probably kick-ass tho. ThieAudio still has the best-fitting and most snug shell design I've found so far(L3).

So that's an L3, an L5, an L9, and now an L4. Guess we just gotta wait for L6 through L8 and then they can go full KZ.

Well, at least so far, they have been well tuned IEMs. I still like my L3 a lot. The main reason why I’m not interested in the L5 is b/c I already have the Mangird Tea. I don’t have that much interest in the L9 as a bass head IEM at this time. The L4 as a possible less expensive alternative to the Clairvoyance is intriguing, though OF COURSE I’m sure the Clair is clearly better. I’m mostly thinking about its tuning.

And remember, L3 has tuning knob jiggers, so L3 actually has you covered from L2.5 to L3.5!

I love my L3, but I have an issue when a company seems to make a slew of IEMs that are all small changes from one another rather than putting focus on a few that each have their own identity.

I understand. So far, all the Legacy IEMs have a unique identity, but we shall see with the L4. Based on the graph, it looks different from the 3 and 5. The looks to be quite a bit more treble.
