It's a real shame this player is disappointing people! Kinda glad my funds only allowed the Walnut V2 purchase and not the Zishan but real bummer for you all!

I can't believe you can't return it for repair. Anyway it seems a simple failture any electronic reparation shop can repair if you r in London it must be many of them you can try better option than sell it at half the price nothing to loose I thin :wink:k

    机子可以保修吗?
    一直保修直到关店,一般免费维修,易碎标签碎了(拆过机)需买家包来回运费。没拆过机运费AA。

According to ZiShan on if there is any warranty on the music player, He said "Yes, Warrantied till he closes his shop. If the seal is torn, buyer will have to pay for all the shipping expenses, else 50-50 if intact."

Is there not some sort of coverage involved if you are going through Ebay for any possible issues? If a person did go ebay that is.
That's the only reason I do not use other sources unless it is rare stuff.

I concur that the best would be to return the defective and get a replacement.

If the seller does not take it back: Do you have a mobile phone repair shop in your location? They often do specialty repairs and could check the PCBs.

    I purchased it from

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/HIFI-fever-lossless-portable-music-player-AK4495SEQ-super-CS4398-USB-DAC-DSD-/272321221921

    No upgrades.

I purchase it from the link above eBay without any upgrades.I have opened the player so the warranty stick is not there anymore.
If the seller accept it like that i will send it back.
Is an idea to take it to a mobile phone shop but I will see what the seller has to say first.

I think that eBay seller will take it back, it's the same seller that sold me the DAC that finally failed and I sent it back to him -tofether w the zishan for the upfrade-. Anyway its a recent purchase u have the eBay/PayPal protection I think. But keep in mind it will take a while. An electronic specialist in your area will be a faster solution for sure

Damn, i got it from Taobao but fingers crossed hope there wont be any problems with it :c

The eBay seller wants me to send it back with tracking number and once he will receive it will send a new one.
I will not get in time for Christmas that's for sure. Also hope i will have no problem sending it back to China as it has a battery inside and it came via Netherlands.

With bad qc of Zishan whether dap is still eligible to be purchased?

  13. musicday
Not many Zishan players been faulty,so even the quality control is not of high standards this is still a great player especially for the price.
Hopefully the second one will last me longer.

I have received some of electronic staff via Netherlands and no problem they just put a label on the package something like "this package does not support the UE transport reglaments" but as I said all the packages arrived and with no delay.

Wanted to check if I were to try upgrading the ZiShan DSD's op amp later on, can I use a NJR Muses02 to replace the TI LME49720?

Is it also possible to use the Burson V5i and which version, the dual or the single version?

I posted earlier that according to ZiShan (the creator himself) on if there is any warranty on the music player, He said "Yes, Warrantied till he closes his shop. If the seal is torn, buyer will have to pay for all the shipping expenses, else 50-50 if intact." Problem is that he did not state the return address...

    Thanks!
    hikki.
