...isn't waiting for them to arrive in the mail. It's waiting for the campus mail room to sort all the packages and put the 'package arrived' slip in your mail box. It's so disappointing to get the delivered email from USPS and running to the mail room only to see the min. wage staffer taking his sweet time with them. I wants my e500's now!

Anyone have any good 'waiting and watching' stories?

I once got my Ipod delivered to the wrong address, worst the company who got my ipod video wouldn't give me the package unless it goes through their security first, 3 more days wait.

If you're a believer, then 'burn-in' is bad. Leaving new cans in their box in plain sight is torturous. Or even putting them in a cupboard, you know they're there.

That's what I fear, too... I want to get a used Ultrasone Proline 750, because I don't want to go through 400+ hours of just letting it run on its own...

then if the headphones are new you have to burn them in for hundreds of hours, so it's like you still don't even have them.

Ok, so I guess the absolute worst part is going to the mail room multiple times and not getting the package, then going one last time and showing up 15 minutes after the mail room closes.

Aaaargh!

I gave in on my 650s after about 72 hours, but they aren't ready yet. I don't know how anyone could dismiss burn-in, it was so obvious with my 580s.
I actually heard an improvement at about 350 hours.

I'm going to listen during the day then plug them into an out of tune radio station every night. Until they clock up about 400 hours.
