I have been away from this thread for a few months but came back to read the CanJam impressions. For some reason I don't feel the itch to try all the new IEMs you guys are raving about; maybe I've settled down when it comes to portable gear.

Since I last visited here I have been busy with moving into desktop setups, one for work and one for the home. I ended up buying a Ferrum stack for the office and a Hugo TT2 + Lumin U2 mini + Utopia for streaming at home.

Anyway, to give my answer to the ongoing poll:

1. Red Halo
2. EXT
3. Elysian X (BTW I'm letting this one go if anyone is interested).

What would make your top 3?

This is a popularity contest more than anything. There are a few IEMs in the upper echelons here that I've heard extensively and don't particularly connect with. Conversely there are IEMs I think are the bees knees that seem to have a much more limited appeal. It's the joy of this hobby.

Wow, this thread moves so quickly! If I hadn't had a notification, I'd have missed your reply.

I have EXT coming hopefully next week, so I'm expecting that will take the top spot (but then again that's what I was thinking with the Indigo as well). If the EXT does top it (I've seen it consistently high up on more than a few members' lists), I guess it would look like this:

1] EXT
2] TZ700
3] Szalayi (even though I just sold my set to help fund the EXT}

For sure, it really does. I wasn't planning on selling the Szalayi either, but it became necessary once I decided to step all the way up to something like the EXT's price!

Some things have changes-- some have stayed the same. BTW I haven't counted your submission yet-- I wasn't sure how to parse the first entry (LX/Z1R I think it was)-- can you give me a list with just 3?
