I understand that, I had the same impression the other day when I heard VK again. Ronin I find the timbre too dark especially for the genre you listen to. AME Raven could be an option as well.

My preferred cables with AP were PWA 1950s Shielding amd BA Oslo mkIV.
If you’d prefer an even more neutral cable, I think Zero Degree Godfall would be amazing. My current favourite cable for Traillii JP.

May i ask what sound qualities of AP the mentioned cables do enhance or what you‘ve been looking for to optimize?
