When I think APX SE sold out world wide, I was surprised when I found out Jaben SG still have them available on their online store.
I think you can order, but they will cancel the order. I am pretty sure they have no available sets, except for those that ordered with a deposit but did not pay up in full.

Sold out as in PMG Audio has sold out of the Apx SE and is not making any more, but some were purchased by dealers to in turn sell to individual customers. It's the latter that have a couple of units remaining.

Hello guys, please check out my take on what some are calling the "$50 Benchmark," - The Kefine Klean!
True to its name it sounds extremely clean with very good technicalities rivaling those of $100 IEM's. Not only that it offers interchangeable nozzles allowing the user to experience two tuning variations at this entry level price point. Although those sensitive to treble might find the Klean to sound fatiguing.
While the Kefine Klean is no doubt an excellent pick, find out how it compares to others like Celest IgniteX Beast & NF Acous NM20 in my full review here:

Does it leak sound to the outside? Meaning, if you're out and about will people next to you hear sound coming from it?
No, not that loud. But in the silence of my home it is audible from 1 m. But I had to crank up the volume quite a lot for testing purpose, after someone else reported that. I usually listen at lower volume, kids watching TV on the sofa next to me, and I had no complaints.
You don't hear any noise from outside when wearing them.

I have not heard the ZMF or CA Cascara but can say ISN EBC80 is very impressive and this is without it being fully burned in. Its $700 shipped so fits your price range. It sounds like it could be a $1400 - $1500 IEM. Maven II to my ears still beats it in stage and details and would be my recommendation to anyone looking for a great all-rounder. Hate the stock cable though but again I don't like CAs stock cables either. For ESTs the treble is very well controlled. Easy to drive as well and comfortable. Can easily play with my older cell phone that has a 3.5mm with no dongle.
So EBC80 still under Maven II as your preference sound??

I have not checked in on EBC80 today. I will tonight after some more hours are on it. Been told 50 hours stage should open up nicely so we will see. I do not think it will beat Maven II as it is super well done. As far as sound isolation I can use my noisy vacuum cleaner and not hear it at all. All I hear is my music. If there is any sound bleed those in room would hear it which I don't care about. They can just plug their ears. I have left my garbage disposal running forgetting to shut off many times so have to be mindful to turn off. A fire alarm could go off and I would not hear it. ITs all about getting a perfect seal and keeping it. The nozzle is long so my O-ring trick is needed. Maven II is VERY tip sensitive too. IT does not leak any more sound than 64 Audios with Apex so I do not see it as an issue at all. I have 2 sets and both sound the same.

You seem to be quite happy with it. I suspect I'll like it too, as we share the appreciation for Maven 2 and Mest 3. Listening to Mest 3 now, on a desktop amp, and it's such a good match for me. I still maintain that Maven 2 is more musical and ultimately one step closer to my ideal. Between these two, I hardly have time and/or will for other sets.

I fell in love with Maven II as soon as I heard it. The only thing they could do is add in BCDs and change nothing else tune wise. They could shorten the nozzles which they would have to do with BCDs. Wonder how the custom version would sound. Its a bit too much money for me and risky if impressions aren't perfect.

I continue to explore some sets that are way below the typical price points of this thread, but they certainly also continue to impress me in terms of what is possible as comparitevly low prices. In this case, the AFUL Performer 5+2 and my full review is HERE

Next up is the DUNU DK3001BD, possibly my top choice IEM of 2024.

Has anyone tried comparing CP622b and Macbeth?

Would appreciate your impressions! Thanks!
I heard the two at the Dallas can-jam. Both were outstanding, as one would expect, but I slightly preferred the 622 because of the faceplate looks and price difference. Keep in mind this was a can-jam, so not the most optimal listening environment:

I felt the Macbeth had a bit more detail and resolution, but the difference was small and given the non-ideal background noise could be wrong. I also thought the 622 was a little warmer with a touch thicker mids. The Macbeth bass extended deeper. In most other ways the two were pretty similar.

Thank you so much!

Was the bass of Macbeth more textured as well?
