What is the general consensus about DCS Lina without the master clock? It's been on my short list for ages now, but my favourite HI-Fi dealer says it's not that great without the master clock. I have heard it many times, but always with the master clock..
I will do my best to join next time. Although I'll probably end up wanting even more stuff. Right now, I'm looking for a DAC though, so it's safe to go to the meetings (famous last words)!

Traillii OG & Ti I kind of get as they're iterations of the same IEM but Xe6 and Rn6 are totally different. FWIW I counted the Traillii (and APX) variants seperately because some people voted for both.

The Lina is an excellent DAC. I briefly heard it without the clock and was not able to tell an immediate difference. Maybe a longer audition would have made a difference. It was only part of one track and I do not even remember the track.
I did go back and forth a number of times with it and the Holo Stack and preferred the Holo Stack. But again, not side by side in my own home. Either way it is an excellent DAC, just not sure it is worth the expense over the Holo Audio May. I also dislike the marketing from DCS as to the need for an external clock. I personally feel it should be built in. MSB and Berkeley do not use an external clock as two top tier examples of why I think this is part marketing by DCS. Don’t forget if you really go all out, now you need an expensive power cable and connection from the clock to the Lina. Some feel the connecting cable makes a difference. It just starts to spiral when I feel it should be built in.
Anyway, just my own bias. But the Lina is excellent either way, and you can always add a clock later.

By the way, I did get to compare the Lina directly to the Mola Mola side by side. I thought both were on equal footing. The Lina had the clock and obviously the Mola Mola does not use one. The comparison was done using 2 HPs, the Susvara and the Abyss 1266 ( latest iteration ). I cannot say I had a clear favorite, maybe the Lina, but I liked both. Unfortunately we were only able to use the Lina amp at the time.
Anyway, I don’t think you can make a wrong choice as you can always add the clock later.
