I have spent the weekend listening to the EE Novus and Penon Rival, both Sonion BCD driven sets. Both are amazing, no question, IMHO.

Also fun to start rolling some of the Beat Audio cables here with me from the Watercooler Tour! These are some loud cables, inside and out!

Beefy, all 8w and a collection of metals, from pure silver to pure copper, and gold/silver hybrid.

For both Novus and Rival, the golden colored (yes, it's the gold/silver hybrid) Billow MKII was the clear winner. Both highly benefitted from it though both have excellent stock cables as well. The stock cables of both are also multi metal which may explain why Billow works so well with them. Interestingly, neither sounded great with pure copper.

Indeed, it is. Haven't visited the Watercooler in a few days, was working to finish my Orbit Saga 8-wire review, and didn't realize the high-end cable discussion is back on! Yes, this one is super pricey, so it made sense to test it with other big hitters like Traillii Ti and OG, UM AP, MM, Mason FS ST/NE, and Jewel. Also, compared it to Centurion and Orpheus Shielding. I'm still on the fence between Orbit Saga 8-wire and Orpheus Shielding when it comes to the Ti-Bird, but I think I'm leaning more toward OS pair-up. But either way, hope you enjoy the read while keeping an open mind :)

Before buying APX SE usually I would ranking my collection and try to rate them
Various from 7/10 to 9/10 (12/10 for Raal Immanis 😂)
But after APX SE no need to rank
Dunno why usually im picky depend on song or mood

But APX SE VERY GOOD with random songs its even give a nostlagia vibe when I play old songs
I dont even need to play my own playlist

I dont even care what rank my APX SE,
This is my most fav IEM for now

Fun bass, smoothhhh and comfortable for long listening and keep a very good technicality I still surprised how good APX SE sound

Time to throw the Orbit Saga and/or Valhalla into the mix!

My impressions of the Envy + APX SE are out now:

"At the end, I started a small test to see how well the Envy performs with IEMs. To do this, I first switched to low gain, of course. I was very surprised when I connected the PMG Audio APX SE for the very first time and could almost only guess at the very minimal noise in the background, which was no longer audible after the first few quiet notes. The Envy produces less noise than the Niimbus at the lowest gain level, amazing! And when I heard the latest Soen album through the APX SE, I was immediately blown away. The iBasso full stack consisting of DX320 MAX Ti + D16 + P5B5 sounded so insanely good that I couldn't imagine any improvement. But far from it. The Envy gives the APX SE even more wings compared to the PB5. It sounds so spacious and with even fuller mids that take your breath away. This is an IEM that can compete tonally and technically with Susvara, Immanis and the like, with no ifs or buts. Another example of how the APX SE has ushered in a new era in the IEM market. The APX SE and the Envy form a Polish dream duo!"

Holy moly 12/10 for the immanis? now im curious i heard a lot of good things about that headphone. Its just the price is crazy. These few years there are a lot of price increase in portable audio i dont know why. The increase is crazy. Congrats for the APX SE , is it on the same level as immanis in your rating?

A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE.JPG

I have ventured a look into the future. And I saw one and the other with an APX SE with Orphy Shielding plus Omni. Regardless of the DAP used.

Would love to hear about some of your joy. :)
what I can say is that there is no equivalent in the world of iem.

we clearly hear the brise audio paste, in the neutrality of the system, no fault can be attributed to it, from the first notes we look for a point of comparison, in the most high-end sedentary headphone systems.
You quickly get caught up in the music, it's so pleasant and comfortable, the ear hook system allows you to quickly forget about the intra.

The system is nevertheless sensitive to the source so that the N7 did not form a good pair, the sp3000t was perfect.

An incredible experience and a superb, extraordinary system.
To discover for those who would like to live an experience unlike any other.

well done @Brise Audio 🙌
