If you've heard it and like it it counts.
Well, I have been listening to a few prototypes lately, and have liked some very much. Since they are largely unknown, I guess it'd be rather pointless to list them here, except to say that those looking for top-rated IEMS would be in for a treat probably year-end or early next year.

As for Storm, though I am listening to the prototype, the Subtonic boys are getting the commercial sets ready for shipping to the 10 lucky preorder owners/reviewers... 😊

Isabellae more energy up top?

I don’t think graph properly reflects the Cerberus. The Cerberus has MKI Electrostatic drivers from Sonion and require power.

The Isabellae doesn’t have fullness in treble. It’s kinda sharp and peaky, plasticy, grainy. It is present but not great.

My 3 favs

1. Indigo (Balanced, textured with great imaging)
2. Solaris SE (Recently spent a week with them exclusively and they are still an amazing listen. (Astounding mids & soundstage.)
3. Atlas (DD coherence & bass)

Showing some CFA love in my top 3. :)

I didn't put any criteria for entries so I'm happy if people put whatever they want...but the hope from my end is that most of the entries will be whatever people are listening to lately that has most captured their attention. I've been fortunate to hear some great IEMs this year so far and what I've listed are the 3 that have resonated with me the most. This isn't meant to be any objective indicator of worth-- it's just a cool way to find out what's in people's hearts at the moment.
So different from last quarter.

How are the Annihilator vs Jewel ?
Anyone owning or compared both ... 🤔
I love them both. I own Jewel and I bought Annihilator. Waiting for it to get made. Jewel is more reference tuning, but with some energy and appealing tonality. Annihilator is also a great all arounder. More of a U shaped curve. Great bass and great treble. Probably the best treble I have ever heard.

I rank Jewel number 2 overall in my collection. Annihilator is number 3.

1. Annihilator
2. A12t
3. U12t

Pick a third-- u12t & a12t are the same IEM as far as this survey is concerned. You don't need to own an IEM to vote for it.

My 3 favs

1. Indigo (Balanced, textured with great imaging)
2. Solaris SE (Recently spent a week with them exclusively and they are still an amazing listen. (Astounding mids & soundstage.)
3. Atlas (DD coherence & bass)

Showing some CFA love in my top 3. :)

Love the Solaris SE-- some of the best mids & bass out there.

My personal preference ranking chart, most recent edition:

Screen Shot 2022-06-26 at 10.01.44 PM.png

The top two rows constitute my "S tier"-- but the IEMs on the top are there because they dovetail with my personal preferences or flat out knocked my socks off in some extraordinary way. The reason Jewel isn't on top is that I've only demoed it briefly and haven't spent enough time with it to really have a full sense of it.

In other news since it's officially summer I thought it would be a good time to revisit the "Watercooler charts". At the beginning of spring I asked everyone for the top 3 IEMs in their lives at that moment. The results were very interesting. Perhaps we could make this seasonal affair...so without further ado, what 3 IEMs own your heart at the moment? Criteria for selection is entirely up to you.

My votes:

1) Supermoon
2) EXT
3) Annihilator
My vote:

1) Dorado 2020
2) Tri Starlight
3) Isabellae

Results are definitely more eclectic this time around. FYI if you present a list with 5 on it I will only take the first 3-- also please no "ties"...each person here can only contribute 3 votes. Happy voting :)
Are we allowed to edit our choices prior to closing? Summer acquisitions may cause changes of heart!
