Yeah, I'm skeptical, but whether this first attempt turns out to be good or a hot mess I love seeing the innovation!
The new Noble Apollo wireless over-ear headphone is also hybrid planar and dynamic. Have not heard it. Hopefully at CanJam this weekend.

Yep. And Skedra's new prototype that has multiple dynamic drivers in a single chassis. Lots of innovation in this space! :L3000:

I was really impressed with Skedra's new prototype when I heard it at SoCal. I have very high hopes for the production version.

I did not take the opportunity to listen to Skedra’s headphones and I kind of am kicking myself because I didn’t! Oh well, next time…

Not gonna lie, that scene scarred me a bit… Arya was just a little kid when the show started!
And the HiFiMan Arya was veiled when it started! Doesn't help all that much with the scarring, though, does it?

Window shaded! And nope, still doesn’t help. That last season of GoT, though… just all sorts of things wrong.

Genuinely curious about how the Isvarna is going to turn out. But given their questionable record with closed back dynamic drivers, I am cautiously optimistic.

I bought the R10D when it went on fire sale for like $250. At that price it’s still not worth it IMO, feels cheaply made and the sound isn’t my cup of tea. At the original $1,500 or whatever it was it’s completely laughable.

I may try a pad swap to their round velour and see if that helps.

Tube rolling this evening on the WA23. I'm settling on the Takatsuki 2A3 (loaners) and WE422A rectifier as the ultimate musical combo (WE417A adapters inbound, will try swaping those next)

While a low-res YouTube upload, this remains one of my favorite all-time a cappella arrangements, beautifully performed.. ❤️ Listening with the Kenneron Vinneta (on high impedance setting) it's a real treat of mids lushness:

Love me some takatsuki tubes. Always worth it.

I am following the Isvara with great interest. I believe the mid/upper bass may make or break the headphone, as its the crossover frequency between the two drivers.
