Hi Friends,
So first of all, let me apologize for bringing in a discussion of a rather humble product into a thread that I imagine is reserved for discussions on high-end audio. I am far more experienced with the Watercooler IEM thread and generally, with more high-end headphones than this one.
That being said, this headphone has really captured my interest so thought I would share.
The headphone in question is the Sivga P2 Pro. It is a planar and although I have bought and experienced Sigva headphones in the past, this one is a bit special. This one is special both for its tonality which is shockingly balanced with deep, well-extended, rumbly bass that hits hard, slams, and all that, enough to satisfy my metal-head cravings (
really does), whilst retaining a sweet timbral attention on midrange and treble. I don't necessarily percieve any treble peaks other than the fact that there is enough treble presence to aid a sense of sharpness of percussion instruments;
solid resolution for the price; and some extraordinary female vocal performance. Female vocals just pop out of the headphones with a degree of realism I haven't encountered with headphones at this price point and that includes HIFIMANs.
This is a serious headphone, guys, athough I know it competes with seriously technical headphones at around this price tag. But I honestly can't think of any other headphone that marries technicalities with tonality and timbre and even comfort, build quality, and maybe even aesthetics (a wee bit, I do like the red oak) at this price. The grill pattern may be hit or miss for some, but the construction feels really solid.
The last thing to note that this reminds me of a more affordable version of the Focal Clear OG, and yes, I am aware I am comparing a dynamic driver with a planar. This is testimony to the Sigva for being able to craft a planar that has the timbral realism of a dynamic diver. Both the headphones have wonderful subbass extension, handsome pinna gain without sounding piercing, strong female vocal performance, a treble that has life without trespassing on the naturalness of the presentation, and so forth!
Now, I also want to do a shout-out for HIFIMAN's latest midfi DAC Amp, the HIFIMAN EF500. It synergizes well with every headphone I have thrown at it honestly. The sound is rich, alive, bassy, punchy, and somehow natural while sounding neutral. It does pair exceedingly well with the Sivga P2 Pro, as does my favorite OTL, the Feliks Euforia AE.
I do recommend giving the Sigva P2 Pro a listen!
