I’ve had a sister model from them, which doesn’t have cutouts but instead has some foam. Bit more flexibility for any model, but need to use some bubble wraps to fill things in. I typically carry two of these with me to CanJam:

I should have asked here first and saved myself the trouble of researching myself!

I was fortunate to get an opportunity to spend 1w with Armageddon with Immanis and my iems, as this was the amp that stood out to me during the last audio Bay Area Audio Enclave meetup.

With Immanis, it creates a more V shape sound where the treble and upper midrange is raised as well as the bass. This ends up creating a really exciting and aggressive sound that makes you want to bob your head when you are listening to edm, pop, metal. It is an experience that I have not had with other amps as others present a more laid back sound that can be a little safe.

If you like the feeling of flying down the highway in a ferrari with the tops down or jumping up and down in a club with adrenaline, than Armageddon is for you. Just make sure your HP is able to keep up with the speed, of which Immanis for sure can.

Only word of caution is this is a powerful amp and does not do well with sensitive headphones or iems (storm excluded). If you are in the US, reach out to Danny to purchase it!

Remember back in the days when headphone stands weren’t a thing so we had to use banana hangers 😅

Well, back then high end headphone such HD600 only 260 gram. For today's TOTL, the headphone may flip the banana hanger lol.

Given you’re returning the Armageddon after demo, I’m curious which amp/s you are keeping in your home rack, and what comparatively made them the better fit for you? 🙏

"This headphone needs some work. Both the pads are touching my ears. And it doesn't seem like the drivers are positioned right. It's like they didn't even test these with the intended kind of listener before shipping them out."

Same. I used these for all estats, and choice vintage headphones (like the R10).
I use them on all my headphones, to avoid dust, dog hair, vape residue, or anything else from polluting my precious nerd-speakers. A strategically placed sticker/decal masks the Stax branding nicely.
