Olivewood! but square base to match the ones I haveCongratulations! What wood type did you go with?
Sweet! I’m “Team Rounded Base”, and since I only need three, I’m set for now- and likely for good.Olivewood! but square base to match the ones I have
The Walnut, Bubinga, and Olive should make for a nice range of colors and grain for my sets.
I just ordered a cabinet for my gear, too- so the Grumpy Geese will have a new “coop”.
It will take a few months to get it completed, as the shop that’s making it is understandably busy, as they are very, very good. But maybe I’ll get lucky and have it for Christmas!
Nice! Would love to see it once its ready!Sweet! I’m “Team Rounded Base”, and since I only need three, I’m set for now- and likely for good.

The 2 other grumpy geese I have are wenge and caribbean rosewood
Excellent, you went for a cool mix of wood too, then. Wenge is SO gorgeous- I once had a pair of ZMF Auteurs in Wenge and it is a lovely wood.Nice! Would love to see it once its ready!

The Caribbean Rosewood looks amazing in Chris’ photos of his stands. I considered getting Chechen Rosewood from the drop yesterday, but I thought it’d been too close in tone/look to the Bubinga I already have.

When your friends have your Eminent Ears Ruby & Beat Audio cables, you have to move to the Watercooler Headphones Edition instead...
Nah, it's not a curse, I do enjoy my Stax v much still.

I was yesterday years old when I found out that Edifier owns Stax. And that Edifier x Stax gaming headsets were a thing. Still blows my mind.

In case it's helpful for people traveling to, say, CanJam: I've been looking for a compact travel headphone case for the Immanis and other similarly sized headphones--big enough to fit the headphone but small enough to throw a couple into a backpack. I searched specs on Amazon and ordered this one:
It arrived today. The foam cutout doesn't exactly fit the Immanis, but with a little wrestling, it goes in securely. (Ditto with the CA-1a). I suspect it would work with most other full-sized headphones the same way. The wrestling with the foam detracts from the convenience a bit, but it is reasonably rigid, so I'm cautiously optimistic it can protect against, e.g., typical airline carryon rough handling sort of scenarios. It's not the smallest travel headphone case, but it's the smallest I could find to fit the Immanis. If you're traveling with multiple headphones, two of these cases ought to fit into a reasonably sizable backpack, and 3-4 should fit in a rolling carryon, I think.
There's also this similarly sized one that isn't quite as secure with the foam, but is probably more convenient. I just ordered this one, too, and will report back once it arrives.

I’ve had a sister model from them, which doesn’t have cutouts but instead has some foam. Bit more flexibility for any model, but need to use some bubble wraps to fill things in. I typically carry two of these with me to CanJam:
