That's a great article. It was even more great, however, when Jude himself linked the same thing a number of days ago.

personly, i didnt think much of UE at first, i thought it was like the ipods, that the only selling point they had was estetics and the celeb list of users,
personly, i dont care if jessica alba owns a pair, i care how they sound,

but then reading the forums a bit more, i learned to respect UE, but i dont think legends and celeb lists are good sale points for real audiophiles, becuase most of them will pass on a costumer list and actually want the specs and to listen to them.

Well, I don't think UE is targeting the audiophile market primarily. They are going after the much bigger "dap user market", especially with their super.fi series. So using celebs to endorse their products is absolutely the way to go.

and thats why im looking at some ER4' s or ER6' s at this moment,

or maybe just get a pair of X3' s,

the thing is they product some DAP worthy material like the METRO.FI and the SUPER.FI EB headphones, but they also have some audiophile grade material like the Super.FI pro and the Triple.FI pro headsets, which are a bit out of the normal DAP users hands, the Triple.FI 10 pro are 400 dollars if you can get your hands on, what im saying is that if they go to celeb endorsment and normal consumer level headphones, they can forget about the $200-$400 price tags and just produce normal $50 phones for ipod kids and 900 buck costum phones for artists, basicly killing their audiophile products,
