I have spent daze researching can amps and the number of
DIY amps from China is amazing. With the amount of vintage
classical records going to China I can't wait till they come out
with a killer set of cans that smoke grados, sennheiser or AKG.
Remember, the big guys are not in business to make quality
headphones.It's to make money.ROCK-ON CHINA!!

Come to think of it, there has been a number of high-end speakers coming from China recently. As hard to believe as it is, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Chinese headphone company coming on the scene and kicking ass with giant killer products (think Oppo).

before that ass-kicking giant killer product even gets into the states, there will be millions of spin-off/fake/immitation flooding the Chinese market, killing the good company back in the home land.

Not much serious innovation can survive in an environment where piracy is the norm, so most companies are just re-packaging existing designs (and those designs come from.....

). The ingenuity has mostly been applied on how to give you 80% of the hi-end performence at 50% of the cost. Those are great deals for the money

, no doubt. but don't be expecting the same company can give you 100% hi-end performence at Any price any time soon.

Dept_of_Alchemy, what high-end speakers were you talking about?

China is a communist country so it seems a few small entrepreneurs
are cranking out headphone amps to supplement their meager incomes.
The build quality is superb, top shelf capacitors etc.Reminds me of
audio components from Japan from the seventies.A few individuals
who take pride in their music and DIY products. Not a large scale operation
by any means.
