Hi all,

We are excited to share with the community another awesome launch from TOPPING. Bring the magic of TOPPING NFCA circuitry to your bookshelf, desktop, or floor speakers with the new TOPPING LA90 Discrete Power Amplifier. This innovative amplifier utilizes cutting-edge discrete NFCA circuitry to enhance your listening experience by reducing distortion, improving linearity, and providing greater control over your audio signal. If you can’t get enough of the TOPPING “house sound” in products like the A90D Headphone Amplifier, now’s your chance to get the same clean and realistic sound out of your speaker setup.

Why does it have over 3x the power output in Mono Mode?

Something feels off

Just curious.. Why is this a power amp and not an integrated amp? I mean volume-control, multiple inputs?.. What's in a name, I guess..

Yeah. If this device had a remote control, that would have pushed it over the line for me as being useable as an integrated amp. That said, you're not wrong. There are plenty of integrated amps that don't have remote controls…especially in the previous century.

Looks amazing, but how is this different from the original version?
Hi there,

the main difference between them lies in the internal design.

The Topping LA90 uses a conventional integrated circuit (IC) as the main amplification component, while the Topping LA90 Discrete uses discrete components, such as transistors, resistors, and capacitors, to achieve amplification. Discrete components are typically considered to offer better sound quality because they allow for more precise tuning and control of the amplification process.
