Oh dear, I was about to order the D70 Pro SABRE DAC and now this suddenly became an alternative. Would appreciate any input that can be had in terms of differences in sound (quality) between the D70 Pro SABRE and the D70 Pro OCTO.

I have just ordered A70 Pro and plan to pair it with EF400 R2R DAC, now I see D70 Pro Octo with Cirrus Logic same as on DX300 which I adore. Can anyone share experience how this 8xCS DAC performs?

Guys, bit of help please. I got A70 Pro today and it sounds wonderfull. It is connected to EF400 via XLR, I have noticed Hifiman on 40% volume is equal to A70 Pro on -33dB, I am confused a bit. Both are on high gain, listening to LCD2 2021 closed back via 4.4mm. Did I miss something in menu? Thanks in advance for help.

Hey Gymboy, how are your A70 ? Under control? I wanna buy same amplifier and i'm looking for users opinions in internet. You talking ef400 ofers same power like a70- i'm sad, i counted, that a70 offers huge power..

Actually its other way around, EF400 analog potentiometer is very different then R2R one on A70Pro. Firstly, EF400 is not good for sensitive IEM/HP goes too loud too quick, secondly on high volumes I can feel shoutiness (maybe amp distortion). A70 pro is way more elegant starting from volume adjustment going to very loud listening, sound remains the same (no shoutiness). HD800S on - 25db is crazy loud (still have 25db to go...) A70 Pro, is another lvl of amplifier and EF400 I am using as R2R dac only, for which is good.
