I have to agree with Scrambler, they are one of the most position neutral designs I have seen.  They sound about the same regardless of how lightly or firmly you put them in.  

for me it's less about the sound. it's just the fact this shape keeps falling out of my ear. very frustrating back when most earphones are like that...

I have the same problem, I cannot get buds this shape to stay in my ears. I have the VE Monks, which sound great, but they will not stay put unless I jam them in my ear. Ear hooks are an option, but to me defeats the purpose of the $5 bud. I may give the ear hooks a try...

That said, I was also lucky enough to receive a review pair of the EM3's (finishing review), and that pair fits much better; the best of any bud I have owned. Sound-wise they are on par or above the Monks, with really good build quality. I am about to try @Wiljean's suggestion for a donut. The full foam muddies the sound to me. For $10, they are a REALLY nice pair of buds which fit my ear and stay. I have never had that happen.

I'm currently travelling around India now and I intentionally left the foams back home. So far I was walking around streets of Mumbai wearing these. They don't have a good fit, but they don't fall off unless there is sudden turbulence.

Yep, I've now bought 4 pairs since my daughter, her boyfriend, and my wife all wanted my pair.   I think I may just make it a point to put a set in everybody's stocking this year.
