No, i sent it back 2 days later
The dealer tried to let it repair by stax germany
But stax germany said, this is normal and the way it is.
Seems to bea chinese construction error

Beside, the next construction error is the cooling system - there are no ventilation holes on the the top of the amp
So the unit gets very hot - this will not encrease life time

The top gets to about 112 F on mine.

What input produced the hum? Mine is fine over optical and USB.

Well, got my replacement SRM-D50. This one doesn't buzz either. Doesn't have any cosmetic flaws, but the input toggle switch is loose. Does anyone know how to tighten it?

Edit: Tightened it. Had to open the case and tighten the set screw on the switch.

Hey all,

Anyone who has L700 ever combined srm-310 amp? Really looking forward to hear some opinions in this regard.

I have sr-507 and am driving it with good old (IMHO) srm-310 all sound good. I've got a chance to combine them with srm-006ts, nothing changed, it did sound like a solid amp.

Since L700s have the same Omega membrane, I worry whether it needs high price amp and mine will fail to drive it properly.

Hi, the L700 are real lambda stax, easy to drive with a srm-006ts, I use the T1S which is the same idea and I have no problems. Kind regards Yoram
