Hi all,

I'm fiddling with my SP1000 and earlier on decided (don't shout at me) to remove all the messy files I found in each album folder so just the tracks and cover art remained. Now if I browse by album and try to play it plays track 1 but then says 'too many unplayable tracks, player will stop' or something equally depressing. Do you REALLY need the m3u files?? If you browse via the folders, the tracks pay one after the other! I'm worried I've removed m3u files that I can't get back and now have a lot of music that is a pain to play.

Try to reinitialise the media scan again after your clean up.
I am thinking that there are too many changes made and the database is messed up.

Under settings, at the very bottom there is an option for default setting. In there you can choose to reinitialise the media scan.
