The Solution For People Asking If Player X Sounds Better Than Y

As a Nano owner, I was surprised to see that there was a signficant rise in distortion from the Photo iPod & the Shuffle to the Nano. I wonder what accounts for that, given that the other measurements were quite similar?

Objective measurements takes the fun out of writing reams of:

"This player sounds better than the other."
"No it doesn't"
"What's being heard is the placebo effect."
"What headphones/IEMs are being used?"
"Is Lame 3.97b being used?"
"It's all subjective so comparisons are worthless."
"Are levels being matched?"
"Ogg is better"
"Use lossless instead"
"Try CBR"
"What shouds good to you is the final test"
