As for sharing the build, I'm not sure if that is allowed :/... Since wodz himself would've shared a build if he felt like it... I'll ask him if I'm allowed to share this build on that thread and post it here if he's okay with it :)
Dang. As I was writing my post I had in my mind to qualify it by saying if its allowed to share the build and by the time I'd gotten to the end I'd forgotten. I hate being so scatter brained about things sometimes.

I used to have so much fun creating custom graphics and programming my own UI with just the features I wanted that I would be seriously interested in getting a Rocker if there is a usable Rockbox port. I still use a very old Rockboxed Samsung player that has the easiest (for me) UI to use of any of my players because I was able to programme it exactly as I wanted it.

Yeah, I know the feeling. I've been using a Sansa E200 and various Fuzes all these years for the same reason.

I like the Rocker's sound with the factory firmware, but there are two things about Rockbox I really miss: the bass/treble adjustment (which I greatly prefer to EQ) and Meier crossfeed.

Really digging this little player right now. It's already replaced my Clip+ as my go-to player. The PX100s sound good with almost anything but the Rocker adds a little bit of midrange to them I've never noticed before. Wish there was some kind of case/skin for it. I hate how the back collects every little finger print.

Not a perfect fit, but I posted these cases a few pages back in the thread. They're silicone cases for the Zune 4GB/8GB. A little loose at the top (and stretches past the bottom), but it protects the Rocker/T6 from scratches and fingerprints, gives you access to all the ports & buttons (covers the side buttons and SD slot, but since its soft you can still easily press the power and volume buttons, and is easy to peal aside to reach the SD card) and allows you to use clips/arm bands.

I haven't read through the whole thread, but has anybody taken apart one of these things? I assume that piece of glass/plastic on the back pries off and you go from there. Mostly just curious but I might not mind doing a battery upgrade at some point.

Mine is already rockboxed. Dualboot implemented, I only use original firm for bluetooth now,not working on rockbox yet. Lots of options and better and more customizable sound. It's like having a new DAP, it's definitely worth a try!

I was not aware that a working Rockbox port for thge Rocker was available yet! Where do we download and how difficult is the installation process?

Rockbox forums. Here's a link to the post that has the download links and instructions:

Edit: Use this updated zip file for rockbox: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15x7KXfIK5Vd0SmlvS5zD7czdyQlJwpWB/view

Super easy to install (since the hard part has already been done in compiling the update.upt file).
