I'm not in the market for new open 'phones really but I came across these on eBay - http://tinyurl.com/oabrc

$140 for a new pair of 595s, thats a steal even moreso considering I live in the 'ripoff UK'!

The guys F/B is 2623 at 100%, so hes completely trustworthy.

Would it be worth getting them? Would they be very different to my A900s, I know they'd compliment my 580s well enough.

Thanks.

I would say go for it. They are very good cans and mine get a lot of use.

I think I will, £80 is a bit too much of a good deal to pass up. Plus it is my birthday in a few weeks! This'll be my first proper audiophile buy, something that I don't need!

I read they're not very bassy, you would know ninja. How do they compare in this sense to A900s?

I find the A900s to be more of a "fun" can but the ATs are not as refined as the 595s IMO. The 595s are well balanced IMO. Very comfortable, very nice presentation (I find the 600/650 boring), nice bass extension, and a good midrange.

Do they come in different impedances?

I saw mention of 120Ohms, not that I care, I have 300Ohm monsters!

I'm very happy with my 595's. I bought them for £99 from http://electronics-online.co.uk/ .

You need call them to confirm stock level. They have also other senns at very reasonable prices. I bough a cx300, px100, pc130 as well from them. They are nice people but they don't update their stock level on the website. At the time on ebay I couldnt find any brand new ones for cheaper. There is another guy who was selling 30 pairs each few weeks. After I bought mine he started selling a new set. Of course I wouldnt mind buying them £9 cheaper if I could find any on ebay at the time. These cans have the best value for money among the HD series.

These are my fist set of serious full size headphones. Now I'm eagerly waiting to buy my first sound card which also will be for a very reasonable price.
