Hello,
I would like to help you. Could you tell me where did you get loop? Which part of the manual do you think needing to improve? I work for AGPTEK.
Sorry guys, A12's chip is the same with Sansa Jam, so it doesn't support Rockbox.
Thank you,
Leo
First of all, this is a nice little device for what I need it for. I do prefer the feel of the case on the A06 to the A12 though. It just feels better in my hand, less slick. But I love the separate volume control. The clip does feel more sturdy than the Sansa line, which is very nice. I've broken off most of the clips from my Clip+s and Zips. I had them clipped to me and the slightest bump broke them.
When I have a file playing (which I choose through folder view, in case that matters) in the lower part of the screen there are two little squares. One looks like vertical lines (which I am assuming is for to indicate I am using the equalizer) and the other has the letters RAN, at least I think that is what they are. I have yet to figure out what that stands for. When I was messing in the mode area I'm not even sure what I did, but I ended up with a box that said LOOP in between the other two. I could not get rid of it. I think the mode section is hard to figure out what you have turned on or not turned on. I did do a format of internal memory from the menu and got rid of the LOOP box again. Factory reset did NOT get rid of it. I dug out my magnifying glass and read the instructions and saw nothing in there about the Mode section, what the selections meant. Maybe I overlooked it, my eyes aren't the greatest. Age - I need bigger font. An online instruction manual would be fabulous for us geezers out here. And maybe some detail about:
A. how to get to Mode. I intuitively want to find it under Settings, but it's not there. Honestly, I'd have to play with it again to even remember where I did finally find it. I'm afraid to, might mess something up again.
B. The on/off selection needs to be spelled out, and what each choice does. I'm finding it clumsy. Maybe it needs another level of choice? Like click on Repeat All and have to choose Yes/No? So I know for sure what I am choosing. There was one selection that had numbers, not even sure what that was for. And I could never figure out what was no repeating of anything.
Yes, maybe I'm daft. But I think if you want to really get this thing out there as a Sansa replacement it needs to be very intuitive. Sadly enough, I am probably more computer literate than many that use these players for audio books. Not sure what your goal is though.
Sorry if this post rambles. Trying to do 25million things at once! If you need more info or if I didn't explain well, just ask and I'll try to be more clear.
