Hey guys, so I've had a Ruizi X02 for about 3 months now and I was listening to a song on my Ruizu, battery was at mid-level, paused the mp3 for a while, put it off and now it wouldn't come on again. Plugged it to my computer, the usb alert sounds but the device wouldn't show on the computer, plugged it to an adapter to charge, still nothing- The screen wouldn't even show if its charging. What could possibly be the problem here? would appreciate some response. Thanks

I think you are saying that when you boot up the player, it goes straight to the mp3 playing screen?

If you tap the bottom of the circular control a few times, it will take you ( 1 step at a time ) to the home screen with all the icons for the options.

Anyone willing to help me with this?

I was about to say to flash the firmware, but then it hit me if the computer won't even detect it, it cannot flash the firmware either. I was once playing around with this, flashing the X02 with the agptek A02 firmware, and the player sort of bricked itself for a moment. I went "dead", stayed that way for a few minutes, non-responsive. I shut it off with the physical button, and after some time I turned it on and it was functional again.

Really don't know what to advise you...

I bought the IQQ X11 dap (badged yohoolyo) which seems be based on the exact same hardware and firmwire of the Ruizu X02 exepted a largest case and a bigger QVGA screen.
Even the manual user show an X02. Same awkward 2-3s press on the down button +L/R to change volume settings.

Well, I Just got my 3'rd X02 Ruizu. My first Ruizu battery, that is ~28 months old, started to show low usage and work for about 30min or so. all other work fine (less bookmarks, that worked ~30% of the time since day one. I gave it to my father who don't need that).
I will give my father my current Ruizu and keep this 8G new one (bought from GB cheeper than what I payed for my first 4GB back then from Ali)

** The firmware is the same
*** The miniUSB was replaced by MicroUSB

Hello experts,
I signed up here as I was looking for a mp3 player and was pointed towards the Ruizu X02, as it fulfilled most of them.
Before ordering from China, I'd just love to ask some more questions:

Can the Ruizu X02 play a folder with a single click or would I have to open the folder and play the 1st file in it?
Do you know if German language is available? The descriptions of the usual China shops don't list it but from my past orders I know that is not always the truth.
From your experience, would the cheapest options with 4GB do just fine, as I'll be using a SD card anyways or are there reasons to go for 8GB or more?
I read about you mentioning firmware upgrades from AGPtek which are bing flashed on the Ruizu player. What's the benefit? Should I be looking at a AGPtek player in the first place? The Ruizu was recommended as it'll resume where it was when being switched on again, whereas the AGPtek is said not to be able to.

Your help and patience is much appreciated
sith
