If you guys have not heard: the new Red Rose Music store in Chicago was held up a few days ago.The rumors all over the net have the employees being tied up and the store robbed from wall to wall.I was working at the Firehouse across the street from the police station that responded to the robbery and I know a bunch of cops there. The story is that an armed robber came into the store and forced the two employees into a room which was locked from the outside and the store was robbed of cash and some other small items. The employees actually had to look around for a bit to confirm what was stolen. No one was hurt and the stories of rapes and pistol whippings are all false. The robbery was not even news worthy and the neighborhood where this store is located is home to some of the most swank specialty stores on the planet.A cop told me that they didn't even have a hold-up alarm. He said the store was reopened a few hours later.

really i didn't know... I thought it was a company started by mark levinson because his own company fired him.

lol... i try not to keep up with the "hifi politics"

Most of that stuff is way outta my tax bracket anyway... so i'm apathetic.

Wow, just when I was going to go over there to check out the store. Crime in Chicago is terrible. I don't know but I felt much safer living in Dallas. Here in Chicago I always find myslef looking over my shoulder and always looking to see who is around me. I've been very lucky so far. I have a really bad temper and would probably put up a fight if I was trying to be robbed. I have taken on guys much bigger than me and they've always backed down first. My temper is much better now but I was really bad when I was younger.

Pics!!! Pics!!!

Lord I can't begin to imagine what the smell would be like. Probably a cross between a burning tire farm and a New York Subway station.
