RIP Al Jarreau - I loved "We're In This Love Together" back in the day. I can't say that I was a great fan otherwise. However, Al Jarreau was clearly a gentleman and an accomplished vocalist. If the Grammy Awards mean anything, he is without question one of the greatest. He certainly deserves to be honored here. Rest in peace Mr. Jarreau, we're all in this love together man...

"Stop Making Sense" and "Heart Of Gold" are two of the best concert films of all time. The man that directed them died today. Rest in Peace Jonathan Demme. You have left quite a legacy in film. You always "kept the eye (...and the ear) interested!"

His distinctive voice placed him in 70th place in the Rolling Stone list of the "100 Greatest Singers of All Time".[2] Allman released an autobiography, My Cross to Bear, in 2012.
Allman died in his home in Savannah, Georgia on May 27, 2017. He was 69.[178][179][180] He died of a fatal heart attack and was found by his wife that evening.
