Whoa!
The eagle has landed...
It is as advertised. (Maybe better).
Burning in now, but already absolutely floored by the 10th AE!
More impressions to follow. :)

Whilst I haven't heard anything higher up the chain and I still need to complete burn-in, this is hands-down the best Penon IEM I have heard to date.

That's a great cable pairing as well. I have a few incoming but so far that's the winner

First look at that case it is a weird one ?
Exacly what i thoought! But at the same time i am VERY gratful to Penon for shipping it to me on top of the blue one!
Most companies would have just said it's too bad you purchased before the browm cases where added!
I do think there will be a DAP or DAC that fits it now or in the future which as i said will be a great little combo along side 10th AE in the round one!
Actually while talking cases is the blue case that was first included with 10th canvas or leather?

can someone who own the penon tail try it with the serial?
20230601_180542.jpg

YMMV since I have a Penon Mix, Orange Eartips and Penon Purple Copper Plug on the Serial. It's fantastic combo. Not only is the loudness louder, bass slightly has more rumble, smoother treble, and its more musical. It sounds more open while still retaining that vintage analog spund. I understand that all of these pairings together combined plays a part in the assessment I'm making but if you need a DAC/AMP for your phone, this is the one I would choose.

What are you comparing against?

My bad I should have given context.

Vs stock using simple USB DAC dongle from Venture Electronics, Abgail Pro with my Samsung Galaxy 20 Note Ultra phone.

SHIO is nice too but I prefer the Tail over it.

My Cayin RU7 dongle DAC arrived earlier today.
Currently burning in along with my 10th AE.
I have sold my RU6 so I don't have it on hand for direct comparisons, but I think I prefer the tonality of the RU7 more.
It has a bit of softness and analogue-like warmth while retaining the technicality and detail-retrieval that I felt was lacking with the RU6.
I am using a Hiby R6 III [Android 12] > RU7 [DSD256, LdB, 42 Volume] > Penon 10th AE
This pairs nicely with the 10th. Great job Cayin!
The 10th is amazing and absolutely blowing my mind.
Penon needs all the praise for this IEM.
It is SPECIAL!
Now back to listening...
