Misha - Connected to the Unexpected
It's a pretty rare cd and I believe its out of print. I happened to pick it up at a used cd store without realizing what it was. Great music though (acid jazz).

The Android Sisters "Songs of Electronic Despair". I heard a tape of this once, and spent three years trying to find the LP. Finally did, and have never seen another one (AFAIK it's never been on CD)

"La Decima Victima" The soundtrack to the Italian sci-fi film (English title: "The Tenth Victim") starring Marcello Mastriani and Ursla Andress. Import CD.

Similar problem here, though I wouldn't set the percentage quite that high. Well, let's see... maybe these two:
- Ayla : Nirwana (Very interesting and melodic trance techno, European import)
- Shoko Suzuki : ??? (Can't translate the title, but the catalog number is ESCB-1962... it's one of her earlier greatest-hits albums that is out-of-print)

Insta-disc recordings of radio broadcasts of Heifetz and Szigeti from 1940-41, including Heifetz playing Villa-Lobos' "Moth Circling Around A Flame" which I don't think he has ever commercially released.

My answer would have been Roland Kirk's Bright Moments album that took me years to find, but then it was reissued on CD. Budget priced no less.

Better than Coverdale's vocals.

You ever check out his solo stuff from the mid 90's to present? How about HughesThrall, Trapeze or Phenomenon? Good good stuff.

Off the top of my head, I would like to recommend a really great noisy rock record from '94: Motionless by Chokebore. Check it out!

I saw these guys open up for Nirvana in a small hockey rink in Vancouver and they just rocked. Lead singer is a total nut job. Great stuff.

Don't really know if anyone else has this or not, but I consider it a gem in my collection:

Kelly Joe Phelps - "Lead Me On" Incredible artist, just him playing his guitar, lap style and tapping his feet and singing. What playing, what a voice, what a soulful work. If anyone out there is into blues, slide guitar and great moanin blues check it out. Highly recommended.

I have this too, and second it. I also have their self titled EP, Queen Of The Meadow, and La Mar Enfortuna, but this is definitely my favorite. I love Jennifer Charles.

Anyway,

Arcana - Arc Of The Testimony: Beautiful jazz cd by Bill Laswell, Buckethead, Tony Williams, Nicky Skopelitis, and Pharoah Sanders. Most of it is a mix of jazz and ambient, with a few pieces with Buckethead that lean more towards fusion. It's also one of Tony Williams' last recordings.

Blind Illusion - The Sane Asylum: Underground thrash metal group with Les Claypool & Larry LaLonde before they were in Primus. Aside from the bad production, it's a great thrash cd, and interesting from a Primus fan's point of view.

Hal Feat. Gillian Anderson - Extremis (cd single): An electronic track with spoken word by Gillian Anderson, recorded for an electronic compilation that she put together (IIRC). I'm such a dork

Mike Patton, Ikue Mori, John Zorn - Hemophiliac: double cd autographed by all three artists, limited to 2,500 copies. Considering I'm both a fan of Patton's crazier stuff (Fantômas and his solo cds on Tzadik), and Zorn, this is a real treat.
