For the most part yes. It is vented at the top. However, the isolation is surprisingly good.

I am a fan of Sony older Composite drivers. While I love the ideas of new housing, acoustic dampening structure, I am not excited seeing Plastic diaphragm with metallic Dome. Are you trying to follow Focal or what ? My ghost....

No, that was supposed to be Z9, which is a Z7 opened back....but probably a no show, or rumor only

I actually do not know what that is.  But based on the aesthetic and Sony's philosophy  that was explained to me I highly doubt that this will be going into production.  Much less to say an open can.
