I call them: 325i leather-zebrafied with Black Dragon.

I made the zebra wood adapters, mucho bass, soundstage and warmer-mellower mid/treble.

what genres do you guys find your 325i the most strong in? right now my other can is an hd650 which i find to compliment them quite nicely. im mostly using my 325 for jazz, the 650 for acoustic, and in terms of rock and electronica im still a little undecided as to which performs better...the 650s for the electronica and trance i tHINK.....rock...who knows?

When I buy the 325i again it will be purely for the purposes of listing to old 70's rock like Led Zep and 80's pop. I find that that type of music sounds really flat and thin on headphones like k701, 7506, k501... and needs the "Golden touch"

if you know what I mean.

I traded my 325i's #2688, plus a little cash,

with 3x331m for a set of ATH-A900LTD
I just found out I do enjoy the warmer/smoother sound also. 650's next on the list.

Welcome to the club

There are a lot of choices for cable upgrades, but nearly all will involve your 325i's going on a wee holiday to the states to have them fitted unless your handy wth a soldering iron in which case you could order a ready made one and fit it yourself.

How do you find the RA-1 with them i have wondered what it would sound like with the CA 640C.

I would tell my impressions in about 2 weeks as i didnt have enough time with this amp to say exactly how it sounds....what do you mostly use? 650's or 325's? I use my 650's for electronic music or sometimes to all sorts just for change but i mostly use my 325's specialy with rock music. RA-1 is actualy smaller than i expected it to be......

I gotta tell you. Listening to Grateful Dead, closing of Winterland live is just pure BLISS on these cans. WOW. Eargasmic in nature. If you don't own these, buy'em. You deserve it!
