Anyone else notice how the price of T1 (new or used) can swing by up to $400 in a single day on amazon and elsewhere? The most volatile priced headphones (or any product for that matter) I have ever seen.

The lowest I have seen the T1 on Amazon was 500$, but I do not check daily. It's good to know one can score such a nice headphone For 400$.

Thanks. I just hope my jds c5 will do the t1 justice cos I don't have the budget to buy another amp. I never planned to buy a pair of full size open 600ohm headphone. I hope the t1 will be a noticeable upgrade from my 8 year old akg k301 xtra

. I'm now selling my w3's so I won't have to eat bread crumbs every meal for the next few weeks.

I've always wonders why all the beyerdynamic open headphones don't have vents on the outside of the cups.

DT-880 and 990 Have vents on the outside of the Cups . Very small holes in the DT-880 Metal mesh , and Horizontal Bars on the DT-990 Cup .

Are there any vents on the outside cups or in the vent of the t1?

Hum my guess is that it's like DT-880 but with much more elabored metal mesh on outside of cups that give the impression that their is no ventilation or opening through the outside of cups , but i may be wrong , don't have the T1 anymore

I just bought a pair of T1s direct from Beyer's ebay account - they were a demo pair at a trade show - described as essentially brand new.

How do I go about having them terminated as balanced - 4 pin xlr?

Send them to Moon Audio or other aftermarket cables manufacturer unless you know how to solder yourself

I do know how to solder, I replaced the drivers and recabled a pair of esw9s, but I don't really want to mess around with such an expensive headphone... I know moon audio and headphone.com would do it, but I was wondering about other recommendations... BTG audio, anything else?
