Subjectively speaking I don’t find it falling short. Sure, it may to some just not to me. I feel they do everything I prefer exactly how I want it.
Fair enough. Subjectivity is all we have in this hobby. Even so very few of us are lucky enough to find that 'one' IEM that does everything superbly. And by everything I mean everything. And that's not limited to sound alone - then there's fit, build quality, aesthetics...

Do 64audio retailers typically sell everything final sale? All the sites marked most of their universals as final sale, even the Nio which I assume isn't going to see any changes in the near term. The 15% discount is nice but not if I have to buy without the option to return in case I don't like them. Thanks.

That sounds like a pretty good combination to me 😭 can I ask what it fell short on? And would you rank anything else you’ve heard above it (in terms of the sound sig it’s going for)?

I’m also curious what fell short with the Odin.

Add me to the list cause I’ve never thought it fell short in any regard.
Don’t want to de-rail from the 64 Audio discussion, but feel free to PM and I can link to my impressions.

I still think Elysium and KSE have the best treble I’ve heard.

Issue with Odin for me is its lack of air and space, it’s lacking a bit of holography, yet images better than anything I’ve heard so far.

Again not to derail anything but if you're listening to them with the stock E Type tips, that could be why. Give them a try with Spiral Dots or Sedna EarFit Light Short. It'll open the stage right up.

I say that after I somewhat got used to the sound of E Types yesterday only to try them again on the Fourte - one of the most tip sensitive and transparent IEMs I know - and realising the treble attenuation and bass inflation of the E Types, while good with some IEMs, does seem to smoothen (read stifle) the sound somewhat.

it’s a beautiful day here in the U.K. It’s great to see the kids learning to sail after over a year in lockdown and a fantastic day to chill out and listen to some great music.

Enjoy your music and everyone and keep safe you and your families.

Since you seem to notice similar issues when pairing the 12t with off market cables, I have to recommend you drjuggles' King Copper. It beat anything I bough from CEMA so far and been my most pleasant cable since I got it a few months ago.
Is there a link to this cable / manufacturer? Google does not come up with anything with "King Copper".

How are they different from the older model? I notice the cable is different....is that the premium cable?

NEW 64 Audio A19 with RTD and dynamic crossover high-end flagship announcement!

64 Audio is proud to announce their latest flagship high-end reference IEM, the A19!

Packed with 18 BA + 1 RTD® (revolutionary transformation driver), 64 Audio is setting the bar higher once again. Heart of the new reference IEM is an integrated high-end DSP with ADC and DAC that analysis the incoming audio information and automatically controls a dynamic crossover all the way from 3 to 7-ways. The integrated DSP works in 32Bit/96kHz.

The most advanced driver ever!
The 64 Audio A19 features a Revolutionary Transformation Driver (RTD®) that can extract and contract itself, dynamically changing the needed diaphragm from 6mm to 10mm according to the specific needs of the audio reproduction. The DSP works in real-life and can control both, crossover and diaphragm, to deliver the best possible configuration, ranging from 3-way 10mm to 7-way 6mm.

Automatic Loudness Correction
64 Audio did not stop there. The integrated DSP calculates the output SPL according to incoming voltage and current, so that the A19 always knows at which volume you are listening to. At lower volumes, the A19 enhances bass and midrange clarity whereas at ≥83dB SPL the sound is reference-neutral.

The new 64 Audio A19 will launch ... happy April Fool's Day!

Hope you all have a nice Easter!
