Fourté Noir and Erlkonig are equal for technical abilities but i prefer the fourté Noir because they sounds more realistic and super transparent to the source. Erlkonig have a tendency to embellish the sound... And the heavy silver shell is not a plus for me... I prefer the simple black aluminum shell from the Noir... Cherry on the cake fourté Noir are a limited edition.... Both are exceptional anyway.

I ordered mine too, but didn't add extra money for rush order.
Damn that's awesome :D

@ceeloChamp is receiving my unit to try and then he will be shipping it to me, so this thread will be booming with impressions - @toaster22 is also getting his demo soon

someone at canjam mentioned they heard both and preferred the t.

listen to both and then decide which one you like.

the s also may not be available in universal form...

I suspect the U18t will be more fun for audiophiles to play around due to its lack of LID tech - after all, the low impedance and lack of linearity means that DAP/amp rolling could be a thing.

The U12t and by extension the U18s should sound pretty much the same no matter what sources you use.

LID is actually something I would like. I like the comfort of 64a cables.

thinking about the T, just because of an opportunity.

Haven’t we been over this already? DAPs and amps will still impact the sound even with LID. All LID does is eliminate impedance differences, which is one factor out of MANY.

Yeah I got how LID technology works. My whole setup will still be the same between LID and Non LID. The difference will be cables and I don't want to jump into this boat, specially the expensive ones, not yet.

it's the best i've heard the with the a18t.

although i have to admit, diminishing returns are extremely high with cables. yes, they do impact sound slightly, and sometimes these slight changes lead to lots of extra satisfaction.

but when considering that you can buy some great brand new iems for the price of just a wire, it can become less appealing.

nonetheless, yes, pw cables sound great.

Oh my... I come back to this after several month hiatus and already I’m hearing all of this with the A18s...

I am running away... lest I be consumed with the Urge for the siren that is the A18s...
