My cables are giving out on my A12t's and i'm currrently running the stock cables. Anyone have any experience with aftermarket cables?
I've just ordered a Forza Audioworks Hybrid IEM cable, having auditioned it on my U12t. Sound is superb - really brings out the vocal clarity the U12t is known for, and tightens up the bass and highs too. Highly recommended.

It starts innocently with that simple question, but it ends up with you remortgaging your house and selling body parts. :)

Wondering why would anyone use anything but the aftermarket cables...
My Fourte exhibits night n day difference with 8 wire DHC silver cables vs stock :smile_phones:

Because (and I quote) "it ends up with you remortgaging your house and selling body parts." That's your first clue.

Yes , i've heard the U version and actually owned it for a month or so .
That’s better than a typical demo session! By all means go for it, sounds like you’ve been smitten.

Unless you mean a financial mistake, to which I say if it doesn’t break the bank and you derive proportional enjoyment from it then it’s probably worth it.

Personally, I’d try to attend a canjam to hear the whole line-up against each other and against other manufacturers before pulling the trigger.

@quodjo105

few questions to help you decide:

- what are your music preferences? (genres, songs...)
- what type of sound are you looking for from your iems? (warm, neutral, bass-heavy...)
- what aspects of music are you most excited by? (quality bass, vocals, detailed and pronounced treble...)

Jazz; both instrumental and vocal . , classical. Pop . I really like male vocals . I like bass but I look for quality over quantity.

Might want to wait for the 18s it's has new drivers and cross over, but youll have to wait for reviews and it might be a risk if you already like the 18t.

I received my U12T today and so far they seem ideal; I could immediately hear the difference from my other TOTL IEMs; greater clarity and balance.

I ordered a 4.4mm cable to use.

What eartips are popular with the U12T? I don’t like the stock ones; SpinFit are a little better, but wondering what else works well.
