I ment if 64a could create a DD with tia implementation as they did for tia high...

So it can be further more deeper rumbler and visceral.

The DDs in the Trio, Fourté and N8 are tia. They all radiate directly into the cavity of the shell.

Tia are the drivers that are at the bore of the IEM, playing the treble as close to your eardrum as possible

Tubeless is another thing, and both the trio and Fourte have a tubeless design, for all their drivers :)

No, tia refers to all the drivers in the IEM that are tubeless. That's why the Fourté's driver config is listed as 1 tia high, 1 tia mid, etc.

I am also interested in the Plussound Exo GPS for the Trio. Looking on Music Sanctuary I think this is $849 SGD. I read a couple of reviews for this cable and it sounds like what I might like. Wyville, did you do a review of this cable?

Damn, this cable thing can get addictive. I am currently saving up for something like the Leonadis II, Horus or 1960, but last night I bought my first aftermarket cable for the Trio, the PW Audio no.5. Well, I’ve got to start somewhere!

I ordered mine from plussound for 480$ with a 20% black friday special.

Soon will receive mine.
Christian at plussound highly recommended me also the gold plated silver one.

@Wyville did a review on it btw

Means the mid-high is a tubed ba?
3 of the 4 drivers are tubeless except 1?

I can confirm trio dd and forte are very distinct in behavior I wish trio had the nuances of forte's bass

Which dap between the N6ii and Paw 6000 would pair best with the A12t and Tia Trio?

I have the N6ii and the Tia Trio and it’s a lovely pairing.

Will you post your impressions of the Trio with the Exo GPS when you get it?

Based on the graphics I've seen from 64 Audio, that seems to be true. The Trio's exploded view does seem to show a module of some sort as you said, but it looks like that's the IEM's passive crossover. I don't know whether or not that the drivers connected to it qualifies as tia then.

Yes, as @Vitaly2017 linked, I did do a review of the PlusSound GPS and in fact did the main impressions based on its pairing with the Trio. That is still my favorite pairing, btw. :)

@Deezel177 @mvvRAZ

This is what I understand, both forte and trio are full tubeless, what the trick is to understand is the tia high tweeter is on the nosel, the other drivers are in a acoustic tia chamber so its also tubless.
The tube that relies on trio DD is a tube let it breath for the dd to move, while in forte it seems it has its own acoustic chamber.

The u18 is a half tubeless and half tubed.

Just read it. Great review Wyville. I’m really tempted, but I’ve just bought the PW Audio no.5. But I’m going to put the Exo GPS on my wish list.

If you just bought a cable, then definitely give that some time and don’t rush things. There will always be something new to try, but it is more satisfying if you can simply feel content with what you have. :)

Agreed. It is very easy to rush things in this hobby. I’m going to take it in stages, get used to the stock first then move to the no.5. I’ll probably then use Canjam London in July as the point to demo some cables and look to upgrade.

I definitely wouldn't say so. The Trio and N8 sound completely different, and - while I haven't heard the custom N8 - the Trio sounds absolutely lovely; one of the most underrated in-ears on the market now, in my opinion.

This was one of the posts that prompted me to demo the Trio.

Would anyone please be kind enough to summarize the best cable options for the Trio? Please throw in some lower price options as well.
