The quality of the impressions will determine how well the fit is. I had to do mine twice before they were deemed acceptable. Since you are receiving yours 64 Audio found yours acceptable. Yes you will need some time to get used to them. Universals do not fit as deep as CIEMs so there will be a different feel. I call BS on the people who claim to forget they are wearing them. I could never forget mine are in. What I found most exciting is how the deeper custom fit gave me a whole new dimension of isolation. I exercise with mine in so unsure how long the desiccant jar lasts I went on amazon and bought a big bag of desiccant packets which I change out about every 3 weeks. I keep mine in a cable bag in which I received a headphone cable.

Thanks you so much. Very insightful.

I do believe as you said something that big cannot be invisible. Not even my soundcore a20 or the Phillips Kokoon are invisible which are probably as close as one can get to invisible with sound and one of them is wireless too.

I didn’t know about dessicant. Where do you put the desiccant packets?

You mentioned you work out with them. Presume you are using a smallish dac or dap. Specially for strength training. What are you using…

And what cables? Did you go with 0.75 or IPX/t2?
.

Ummm, really?!? That's like one of the best benefits of CIEM, NO MORE TIPS!!

Seriously, you will absolutely not miss using tips, and as long as you had good impressions, your CIEM should fit so well they almost disappear in your ears and all you are left with is the music itself. Such a treat!!

The metal puck case that 64Audio provides with their CIEM will have a desiccant right there in the lid

Store your IEMs in there and let the desiccant do it's magic.

You can also scavenge desiccant sachets from packages you receive sometimes, or buy them on Amazon. I've got heaps of them stashed around in all my IEM storage cases, headphone cases etc.

Just received. Put them on and I can hear myself breathe a bit like scuba. I swapped into the linum cables

It’s an experience like any other. I don’t think I’ve ever had such separation and sound stage
before.

No iem I have comes close in sound (or price) and its more fun and usable than my dca expanse. At least so far and I don’t have to carry my holo audio stack.

The fit was instant. Just went in . No fiddling

I have the black apex module pictured as well. Forgot what it does.

I also got their earplugs which are so well made. Crikey. Picture attached.

It is one of the most unique experiences in the audiophile community.
CIEM was a thing back when wired iem was at its prime.
I no longer go for CIEM (ciem just does not work well with my job and working environment), but I miss the unique feeling it gave me when I had them.

any suggestions on ear tips for the a12t’s? getting mine tomorrow :)
U12t? OEM tips are fantastic but if you want to try something different I always lean to the Azla's due to their wide bore. They renamed they're product line so you'll want to aim for the Azla Origin in whatever size.

Sounds like you’ve hit the jackpot with these! Instant fit, insane separation, and soundstage—what more could you ask for? Also, those earplugs look seriously premium—might have to check those out too!

I sm thinking of upgrading from the stock dx320.
any suggestions on what will pair best with the a12t’s. something with a smaller footprint would be a plus. weight is ok as use will be in flight or on desk.
ones I’ve owned before are in my signature. 99.9% of my listening is offline content from tidal, qobuz, music and spotify. as such responsiveness of the OS is very important;
be grateful for suggestions. thank-you.

Probably LPGT 2? I mean one can't mess up with neutral + neutral, though you probably need the LTTP transmitter to play your files.
SP3000 is actually a decent choice as well.

the LPGT 2 is nice but I'd prefer to keep the whole chain wired. The sp3k does look tempting indeed... only concern is if it's snappy for streaming.

I tried the Cayin RU7 over the DX320 with my newly acquired a12t's. In both cases I used Tidal, and the file showed up as 44.1 on the RU7 paired with the iphone.
What a stark difference. I walked back to the home office from the bedroom to retreive the DX320 as the difference was so huge.
Totally unexpeted. I thought I would be able to tell the difference a little but not so large. It was like the entire experience changed.
More soundstage, more clarity, etc. Is this the norm?
