ok - so far i've been hooked on the 60's and impressed IEM wise by the 500's but now me and my Tomahawk need something more ... it's time for the next pair of non-iems...

is it the 650's or something DT... nothing (and I mean NOTHING) has the bass and sounstage for this newb... sure i like the Shure staggering detail with foamies (a good step up from the UE 5's) and i love the warm fun sound of the grado's but i need more ... more soundtage and more BASS!

any suggestions?

P.S: this is such a cool forum

I say try the ultrasone PROline 750. Slamming bass, and throws a pretty good soundstage as well. A nice complement to your Senns.

thanks for the info - appreciate it... seen the prolines at 159 ... also dt990 pros at around 85 -- are the pro lines worth the extra you think?

My bet is the UK. You just can't find those cans with that sort of dollar price.

In answer to the OP, I haven't heard the Beyers to compare, but can only give a glowing endorsement to the Ultrasones.

also, i'm realy confused... the dt990 pro i think fits my needs at 85 quid but there seems to be about 34 different versions of the 990... is the 990pro one of the good or the bad?!
