I don't like how the crowd segment(LA drone) leeds into the immigrant song. I sounds like a bad edit. They should have at least did a fade out and then into immigrant. As it is, it sounds a bit funny until you get to the music and then its pretty dam good. The only other complaint I have is with the dvd. Again it's problems with the immigrant song; the audio is decent but that footage they used is poor qualility. they used amature footage from a different preformence which doesn't look all that great. I Know it was just amature footage; probably used because decent video was not available. It just seems to spoil what would other wise be a fantastic dvd.

Complete semantics. Bad edits? Amateur footage? The best rock DVD ever made?

I'm not saying the the video was bad it's not bad it's very good. I just thought that one part needed to have been better.

yes.. This is a great video. I was just nit picking about one small segment. The peice in question was the imigrant song which leads off disc two. Sound on imigrant song=fantastic Video of Imigrant song=not so good. But...Every thing else about the video is with out a doubt, top notch. It's a must see.

Sure, Tom, it's kind of funky how they did that, but would you rather they have left it out? Not me. They gave us about five hours of video for like $20, and I'll take all I can get. No way would I have wanted them to leave out that performance because they didn't have good video of it -- this is, after all, a music performance, even if it's a video.

(And I don't really agree that they did that terrible a job with it, either. I'm not real sure if I wouldn't have been deceived into thinking it was video of the actual show, just with the audio a little off, if I hadn't already known the audio and video were from different shows.)

Some of the other gimmicky things in the DVD, like the constant flashes to the dirty original video and some of the stretch and pause effects, etc., are kind of annoying. I would have preferred that they just give us the show and not bother with the artsy production crap.

But, yeah, great DVD. Better than The Song Remains The Same. Amazing, really.
