hello, i don't see used offers worldwide for ak100.
i see normal used ak100 for 220$ (maybe i can bring it down to 200$) locally. is that acceptable price for such player? cheap? pricy? hardware seems to be quite old.

Your question is not very clear. What is your goal?
,
AK100s are being sold fairly frequently here on the forums at around $300-400.

Yes, $200 would be very cheap for an AK100. Please read my previous post on this in which i stated, that the AK100 is usually/frequently being used as a transport nowadays, rather than a stand alone DAP.

That being said, it is still considered a good player when modded to have a lower output impedance.
Don't forget that old does not mean bad, especially in the audio market.

Hello!
I'm in trouble with my AK100Mk2, I can not more to make it work as a usb dac.
Connected with my new PC, i can see the device (iRiver USB speaker) in windows 7 64, foobar play files without any apparent problem, but i can't get any sound from the device.
I tried all the USB2 ports (I know that does not work with usb3) but there is no way to make it work.
Any idea?

  Hey...

Have just bought a RWAK100s.

What is the SD capacity nowadays?

Recommendations for brand/type/class/size?

It's a few weeks away, and no Hi Res tracks yet.

The capacity is basically 'infinite' (currently the biggest you can purchase is 256GB). And in case of the AK100, two times that.

Just don't forget to format it to FAT32, otherwise it won't work.

The brands are all comparable (if not identical under the brand). Just get the highest your budget will allow and the cheapest in that size.
To me personally speed is a non-issue, as I do not mind waiting a few minutes for my music to transfer (as I do something else). Buy Class 10 if you want to. The scanning will take the longest anyway.
