No. It's much much smaller. Probably 1/10 in terms of volume.

  Well, iPod nano is way cheaper and smaller than AK100. It's not even in the same league. 
I'd try to compare Ipod classic 5.5 240GB with AK100.

The point I was trying to make was that personally, the small SQ difference isn't worth it for me to carry a brick instead of a small nano. I also wanted to try the classic 5.5, but I just hate big DAPs.

Yes. When I say brick, I mean audiophile players. But AK100 is definitely on the better side. It's the only audiophile DAP light enough for me to want to carry(besides AK120).

Is the AK100 MKII coming down in price now that they are releasing new versions of AK100 and AK120?
 
I just like how it's extremely small but I would have more fun spending $800 elsewhere

Doubt it.  The AK100II is going to be at least $1000.  That said the AK120 sales should just drop like a stone.

Well once the AK100 MKII's sales drop like a stone (will happen eventually) I'll try to snag one.
Or maybe I should buy used. How well do they hold up over time? Obviously depends on the owner and how well he takes care of it but does the volume knob get looser over time, does the screen get scratched easily and does it come with a screen protector preapplied?

Mine looks new, I use at daily on my commute and I took the protectors off long ago.  Used Mk1 is ~$450, Mk2 ~$600 w/ memory cards and case.  Used AK120 is ~$900, $950 w/ cards.  I would assume all of the above stop being produced soon if they haven't already.

Yeah - the AK100 II and AK120 II have only 1 card slot - robably the easiest way to separate them from spec descriptions.
