ok question audiophile buddies...

I just bought the hd595's and i have them plugged into my 5.1 logitech pc systems volume control. Would it be better quality if i plugged them directly into the soundcard or would it be the same quality because the sound system is already plugged into the soundcard?

Sounds great already but i want the best....

Must brush up on stats...

As to your worry, we are only estimating C, it really doesn't matter much, I would stop when any set of C phones (each of them) has 20 or more votes, even if the list of C changes. No biggie, this is all guess work.

So are the numbers 80% (well that's the 80-20 rule which generally holds), 100 and 20 ... these come from WAGs ("wild ass guess") of mine using what is called "power analysis". See Wikipedia or

EPA Statistical Primer - Power Analysis

I'm not sure it's worth studying up on stats -- keep a statistician as a friend, that's the better way. Or marry one. I did. So did my wife.

Anyway back to the thread: hey OP, what's the current tally??

I tallied them up to page 10... Here are the top 10. I'll update the first page. After I'm done and the list gets even bigger I'll put up a list of all of them that are owned like more than 3 times.

Pretty much just as expected.
The K701 and HD650 seems to be enjoyed buy quite some Head-Fi'ers. Which makes sense since they both are the current top models from their brand, and are priced quite competitive.

search in the section on headphone amp's...the audio out from the logitech remote is horrible - a proper amp will give you much better sound...
