It looks like that cord is rubber for this version from looking at the pictures, though I can not confirm this.  Hopefully it is, because it would help the microphonics a great deal.

Ok so Ive had a pair of these for a while and they are my main work headphone. They're great, good clear sound decent base and cheap. However I am getting tired of constantly having to fiddle with them to keep them in my ear right so they don't sound like crap. That's the real problem with these, they sound great, if they're on your ear right, if not they sound terrible. Add the fact that I cant get them to fit my ears very well for very long and its a problem, I just cant get them deep enough on to say well. 
 
Is there something else that's comparable to these that maybe have a bit better fit or do I need a large jump in price to get that?

^What tips are you using?  Stock?  If so, that is your problem right there.  Get some aftermarket ones, like the "Comply T-400".^

or you can do small ear molds ,,,  they will sit snug in your ear and actually disappear,,,can be worn for hours...

just curious but is the 8320 and the black version the same sounding? it looks like just a cosmetic difference but i heard from posters here say the black one is more silicone like--> do they sound different?

Nope, the sound is identical. Only real differences may be the comfort due to the rubberized finish of the 9927.

+1. Same driver, same case. It also stays in better, though. The rubber grips your ear.

the newer ones might not be a good option for use with silicone mix for ear molds,,,,   the silicone MIGHT fuse to the rubber preventing removal of the earphone...

I ordered a pair of the 9927's and should have them this week. I'll be interested to see how much sound I get for my $8!
 
I'm brand new to IEM's so I was wondering, what do the 9927's compare to sound-wise?

Multiple, stock, sony hybrids, comply style, different sizes everything. The comply ones work the best out of all of them, but I still cant keep a seal with them for a very long time.

What are those? Ill check them out but Im at the point where I dont know if I want to put any more money into a 7 dollar pair of headphones that may or may not work out for me.

Sad thing is, chances are, the total cost of the ear molds will be multiple times higher than the earphones themselves. The exception being DIY which can be a bit fidgety and not of as high quality as actual custom shells made by professionals.

A box of silicone mold putty picked up at your local craft store will make you many "custom IEM". I can't even begin to tell you how much these (and any other cheap universal IEM) improve with $15 and 15 minutes

I got some of these cheap monoprice's off amazon a few weeks back for 5 bucks, not sure if these are the model number I have but they are very loud. I dont like how I have to constantly adjust for my ears. What are the cheapest tips I can get?

i totally agree..  i bought a 10 packs of mmix from westone that cost around 12 bux,,,  with each pack i could ake one pair of large earmmolds,,, or 2 pairs of mediums or 4 pairs of sall tips...
 
for an extra 6 or 8 bux i bought a pack of 50 ear canal dams..
