I've been away from Head-Fi for a few years man. It was the Head-Fi "apocalypse", which I'd rather not discuss, but I was suffering from recurring migraines which made this hobby unbearable for me, so I had to stand down. But now, though I still suffer from the migraines, I can keep em under control. So I think it would be fun to come back refreshed.

So to answer your question, I've been keeping well enough. Lol.

Not too sure, seems that iems have gone to the AliExpress crew or the super expensive. I've since moved more to the full size can side of life

There are time and space (on this example it is internet) that some stories finds a place and has its peak. The Lab thread were one of them at that period. I miss The Lab and some other threads... But after the major change of the inter-face of the head-fi (I mean general web page design) I feel cold to this place. Also the peak period of the thread were gone long ago... I sometimes remember those periods like childhood memories (I remember and value them).

I also move to full sized cans at the period @n05ey . I rarely use iems. My most head time is shared between AKG K7XX, AKG K400 (MP) and Sennheiser HD250 Linear-1 (600ohm) these days. On the move I prefer a highly modded Koss PortaPro. I still use a Havi B3Pro1 time to time...

Yes, and some of the Chi-Fi IEMs have gotten quite expensive too!

I'm kinda off iems too. Between my SA6 and my ER2XR, I'm in a "F- it, good enough for me" place ATM.
I do need to invest in the can space now. The earpads on my 400i are getting kinds fuggly, but the cost of replacing them is damn near half the price of those "new" 400se. Plus I'm sorely tempted to get an A2C/Noire and up my game entirely.
