Thanks guys! I just snagged the X10's for $85.00 at Amazon. I've been watching this thread for a few days hoping to find something new to try. I have the Mee A151's so not sure how these will compare. We'll see....
I was going to skip the x10's, bought them last year for $99 or so, but couldn't resist.
I gave last years to my daughter. She's tough on earphones, I think one of the connections came lose on her set. She was using them every day several times per day when walking back and forth to classes.
Out of the box, the RE262’s don't sound any better through my Lyr than directly plugged into my iPad. The synergy between the Lyr and RE262 clearly isn't great, but I'm not hearing any benefits in any aspect of the RE262's sound signature. The RE262's probably need some burn in because the sound signature doesn't match most of the descriptions I've read.

Well lets see, this is all going by memory. The A151 is more of a neutral signature with smooth very rolled off highs and no real bass emphasis giving it a balanced sound. The X10 has a bass emphasis as well as a treble emphasis making is sound very slightly V shaped. The upper mid transition into the lower treble is quite energetic which means you'll get some sibilance with female vocals. Some advice, if sibilance is a problem you can usually kill it with a bit of tip rolling and a deeper insertion. The mids are far more detailed then the 151 as is the treble and bass. Soundstage on the X10 by far more wide and imaging far better. It'll be a step up from the A151.
