Looks real nice so much that one doesn't feel like disturbing it in the box

It looks almost...peaceful...like it's gently sleeping...resting in peace...
I took it out anyways.

You should try a powerful portable amp like the Pico Power.  You just can't beat that 18V voltage swing.  That alone should give you similar effect as going balanced.

I was dead set on getting the Intruder, now I've "discovered" the Alo International. $100 cheaper, aparrently good with IEMs as well and some report it to be more neutral than the RSA. But the size doesn't line up nearly as well as the Intruder when stacking with the DX50: http://socialcompare.com/en/tools/compare-sizes/dx50-vs-alo-international-vs-rsa-intruder-1zl0th82

Argh! Too many choices!

You're right there....I was thinking of the RSA Intruder to pair with my DX50 and DreamEarz AUD-8x.

Trouble is I am more than happy with the sound just using the DX50 and CIEM......and the Intruder is expensive just to go balanced, which then incurs the cost of a new cable

I'm thinking of giving the iBasso D12 a try first and using it SE output but with Coxial in from the DX50 (like you I will only ever use the amp at home or in the office)

Decisions Decisions

I have both and it's hard to argue with the balanced output but the D12 with coax in is no slouch and they truly feel like they have been designed for each other you can also op amp roll it which you can tune your output to what you'd like and it's priced quite right too.
