Woops.. I tried the 1.9.5 fw and got some problem, it reboot while playing music, not always but idk when scrolling playlist/menu it happened..

And sometimes while playing music in the middle then jump to another track by itself

I did factory reset after update fw

For SQ I dont really know, a bit different with 1.9.4 but I like both
Edit: after listening couple songs I agree with others that 1.9.5 is more musical

If you continue to have problems please us the Batch Tool on the first page of the DX80 thread. It has to be used on a PC but does a clean install of a FW and wipes the internal memory at the same time. It is the factory tool we use.

generally yes...although one might prefer the hardware controls on the dx50.

Just try another battery. Galaxy S3 / i9300 fit as replacement. These are good quality (not fake) batteries:

And also - don`t follow those absurdly high numbered "high capacity" asian batteries - they won`t last longer. HQ 2100mAh battery will last even longer as those cheap ones.

Used, bad-cell, smaller cell re-labeled batteries is very dirty business in asia (and hence resellers worldwide) and there can be even legit looking packaged Samsung batteries that are fakes and not Japan made. So, You are warned

Yes, there have been reports about HQ battery having better "juice" and sound. I can`t confirm it since my DX50 is heavily modded by now and I do not notice any difference between batteries.
Though, with stock hardware there might be slight difference with used battery and new HQ one due to capacitors and power circuit filtering and opamps used.

I have windows 10 on my desktop pc, i've tried the latest firmware and the previous firmware to get DAC to function, and get no sound from the computer, the dac drivers are installed and the computer recognizes mango device, i can choose playback device from the sound icon, but i get no audio when trying to play files from my pc.
 
Any solutions or suggestions? Anyone else have the same problem with DAC on the DX50? Thanks in advance.

Hi, thx for the flashing advice posted back there.
And about good battery replacement, what do you think of Sun Global brand?
I have used that brand for my previous phone and it's quite good, unsure if anyone has any experience for this brand.

If you're keen to buy it, You can try to contact iBasso to help you seek out any other supplier that kept some old stock or search for any used unit.
It's really a great budget DAP that keeps on improving.
If you can afford the DX80, it's a good upgrade over the DX50.

Thanks, guys. I could only afford a DAP under $200 right now. I'm undecided between the Fiio X3 II and the DX50 at the moment. It's too bad Ibasso isn't coming out with a revision, though.

Are there any other worthwhile DAPs under $200 that I may have missed?
